Hi I’m Jennifer Lim, and I’ll be your church nurse today!
I am a registered nurse, and have worked in oncology for the majority of my career, which started in 2012. Currently, I’m working in the Chicagoland area at a small integrative outpatient chemotherapy infusion center. I’m also happily married, with two young children. And I’m excited to be your church nurse!
My Passion
As I started at my first job in an area hospital, I realized that so many of the patients I served had health conditions that might have been prevented with education and community support. I envisioned the Church as being a place where we could set an example of body-stewardship not just for the sake of being healthy, but also as an act of worship. Over the last year, I have been reading, writing, and exploring different ways of entering into health-related ministries and I am excited to see where God is leading me in regards to doing this in the church and with people who are looking to live a wholistic lifestyle.
My Goals
My goal is to join with people in figuring out how to learn to live fully aligned with God, in Shalom, knowing that how we use and care for our bodies can be an act of worship. Through this site, I will be exploring what it looks like to do this in order to live more fully and with purpose. I also just want to be your church nurse! How can I best serve you today?
